IQ PARTNERS Inc. is currently looking to hire a Business Development Director for our solutions client in Toronto for an exciting Full-time permanent job opportunity in which you will be an entrepreneurial, high-energy, ambitious and seasoned sales person who has prior experience calling on enterprise accounts.


Compensation: Competitive base salary plus, lucrative commission plan, and expense account.


Job Description

  • The ideal candidate will have a history of selling SaaS technology, calling on the C-level executives in the HR, Sales, Marketing and Procurement departments and an understanding of employee recognition and/or sales and channel incentives. This sales professional will have the skills and desire to develop new business from the ground up, calling on multiple decision makers within an assigned list of Fortune 1000 accounts and manage through a complex sales cycle in order to close new business. The position reports to the Senior Vice President, Global Sales.
  • As a Business Development Director, you will be charged with prospecting and identifying new business opportunities within your target accounts, building relationships with key stakeholders, leading an internal team of subject matter experts to advance the sales cycle and grow your book of business.

  • Prospects, cold calls, and develops new business relationships within target accounts.
  • Manages all sales activities for target accounts.
  • Meets with prospects and clients to discover needs and requirements to increase chances of winning new business.
  • Updates individual sales plans on a continuous basis in order to develop and grow the territory.
  • Works through a complex sales cycle effectively and manages the sales process.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in company and competitive products.
  • Engages sales resources in an effective manner: Operations, Solutions, Product, and Executive teams on the development and execution of customer account plans.
  • Maintains accurate sales activity, prospect, customer, pipeline, and forecast information.
  • Conducts effective technology demonstrations online and in person.
  • Meets or exceeds personal sales quota.



  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in enterprise software or direct B2B selling.
  • Experience calling on HR, Sales, Marketing, and Procurement departments.
  • Experience selling into Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Experience selling large volume deals upwards of $500,000.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to work through a complex sales cycle of 12+ months.
  • Outstanding presentation skills in front of small and large audiences.
  • Highly energetic, entrepreneurial, interpersonal, and analytical in nature.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, prospects, and clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience building out a territory and creating new business opportunities.
  • Highly collaborative, team player, and positive attitude.
  • Strong computer skills, including Salesforce, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
