Immediate Supervisor: Director of Engineering
Responsibilities:

- Design access structures and installation plans
- Write calculation notes;
- Design custom parts as needed;
- Inspect structures prior to use and produce compliance letters to follow up on visits;
- Assist in research and development in order to create new products and improve designs;
- Provide technical information upon request;
- Participate in the bidding phase in collaboration with the sales department, by:
- Attending pre-project visits and pre-project meetings as needed;
- Analyze site surveys and participate in preliminary designs;
- Ensure the feasibility of projects in relation to the laws and standards in force;
- Participate in the development and improvement of the engineering department
- Coordinate and manage stress tests when required;
- Develop security systems for specific projects;
- Respond to requests for technical information from technical representatives;
- Participate in special projects;
- Participate in engineering meetings when necessary;
- Work closely with all departments;
- Participate in research and development
- Participate in innovation within the company
- Any other related duties established by his superior.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Specialization in Structures is an asset)
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec
- 5-10 years of experience in structural design (Experience in temporary structures is an asset)
- Have your ASP construction certification
- Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, SAFI, ETABS, SAP 2000 an asset
- Knowledge of the MS office suite
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and organize priorities
- Team spirit, positive attitude and rigor
- Own a vehicle and a valid Class 5 driver's license
- Good knowledge of French and English, both oral and written.
