Job Description

Reporting to the Regional Controller, the Collections Administrator will be responsible for accurately entering Collections transactions, collecting overdue balances and providing required reports. This position will interact with internal and external customers to resolve disputes and queries and will work collaboratively with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely statements.

Main Duties:

- Collection of outstanding receivables

- Accounts receivable monitoring

- Maintain accounts receivable at 45 days or less

- Co-ordination of customer statements

- Preparation of monthly dispute listing

- Early warning system for identifying potential bad debts

- Assisting the Controller with the credit approval process

- Customer interaction to resolve disputes and billing questions

- Ensure collection efforts do not negatively affect customer satisfaction

- Upgrading credit applications

- Prevention of any receivables requiring legal action

- Completion of recovery tax claims

- Prepare annual write off list and allowance for doubtful accounts

- Account reconciliations when required

- Balance AR to G/L at month end

- Review bank reports daily for wire payment 

 

Employment Requirements:

- Completion of accounting diploma/certificate or equivalent

- Excellent written and oral communications

- Outstanding organizational & time management skills

- Minimum of 5 years experience

- Must be able to speak, read & write in English
