Are you looking to join a global public relations agency in hyper growth mode?

Our client is the Canadian office of a global PR agency who is growing and we’re on the hunt for a progressive agency PR pro to join the team. In this role you will lead the day to day activity for some of our tier 1 consumer accounts. Reporting to the Account Director, you will be the primary client contact and provide day to day management and mentorship for associates and interns.

Our work is fully integrated and includes a mix of traditional public relations, digital, social media and influencer and earned media. We are looking for a creative thinker who has impeccable communications skills and a strategic mindset. You are a solid project manager and will be an important resource for our clients on the changing Canadian media landscape with a network of media and influencer contacts. You’ll have the ability to develop compelling stories that generate coverage in a variety of media spaces. Enthusiasm, drive, collaboration, positive attitude and self-discipline are key character traits of the person who will take on this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day client business
  • Research, develop and execute integrated communications campaigns including events and experiential activities for media and influencers
  • Develop both high-level media strategies (both earned and paid)
  • Develop strong relationships with a range of media and influencer related partners on behalf of the agency
  • Maintain a database of key contacts on behalf of the agency
  • Leverage agency's media monitoring tools and work with junior staff to continuously improve reporting
  • Utilize agency's proprietary media and influencer tools and work with junior staff to bring these tools to life with existing and prospective clients
  • Digitally savvy with the ability to identify opportunities for our clients to join conversations that are relevant to their business and core audiences.
  • Produce KPI reports, competitive analysis and research briefs
  • Manage and track client budgets
  • Act as mentor to junior staff members

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and post-secondary education in public relations and/or corporate communications
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a PR agency working with a variety of clients (experience working on a retail account would be an asset)
  • Strong media relations skills and knowledge of overall landscape in Canada
  • Ability to provide overall social strategy and oversight of team managing social channels
  • Strong communicator both written and verbal with the ability to write reports, create stories and plans and reports seamlessly
  • Ability to manage competing demands
  • Highly organized, adaptable and ability to be both agile and collaborative
  • Experience with clients in the food and beverage, retail, travel or corporate spaces are assets
  • Ability to communicate both verbal and written in French language is an asset
