Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Digital Solutions, the Digital Specialist will be responsible for delivery and support of various digital applications with a focus toward delivering next level user experiences. This role requires experience with data analysis and manipulation, analytics, database administration, content management systems and experience with various other digital product and marketing applications. This position will collaborate with internal project teams as well as external agency partners to deliver against digital, marketing and content objectives.

Position Responsibilities

Data Analysis + Database Administration

 Analyze and support optimization of dashboards and reports based on multi-channel interactions (web, mobile app, e-mail), data sources (social, search, paid, organic) and initiatives (programs, media campaigns)
  • • Support the management of ParticipACTION databases and data sources and how those interact with all platforms.
  • • Maintain and support reporting and data requests pipeline, prioritization and its timely fulfillment.
  • • Evangelize the benefits of analytics and proactively extract meaning from raw data in support of all organizational initiatives and stakeholders

Digital Applications

  • • Support content deployment (web and mobile app) and website page builds / creative updates via CMS and working with agency partners
  • • Support CRM management and deployment projects
  • • Manage technical aspects of backend marketing CMS and work with internal teams on optimization of automated communications

Strategy & Special Projects

  • • Support app development and evolution through data-backed insights
  • • Manage external agencies and consultants based upon negotiated deliverables to ensure the execution of agreed-upon objectives
  • • Provide insight to technical support inquiries and elevate issues where required
  • • Represent the interests of the company to various stakeholders
  • • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Digital Solutions

Qualifications and Skills

  • • Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, system applications, business administration or technology focused digital program.
  • • 3+ years’ experience working with dashboards and custom reports and the data that feed them.
  • • Knowledge of Tag Management tools such as Google Tag Manager
  • • Experience with database analysis and writing SQL queries
  • • Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau
  • • 3+ years’ experience implementing tracking solutions in Google Analytics; familiarity with Data Studio and Firebase
  • • 2+ years’ experience in web design; proficiency in HTML/CSS and familiarity with JS
  • • 2+ years’ Experience working within a CMS (e.g. Drupal, WordPress, Joomla)
  • • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • • Intermediate understanding of UI/UX best practices and writing for the web
  • • Proficiency in Windows OS and productivity applications suite
  • • Excellent reporting, analysis and storytelling skills
  • • High detail-orientation
  • • Strong relationship building skills
  • • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • • Effective project management skills and ability to multi-task
  • • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset but not required
