Our client is a top ranked international law firm located in the financial district. They are looking for an energetic and professional Events Specialist to join their growing team!


  • Collaborate with the Business Development team, legal professionals, and stakeholders to conceptualize and execute engaging client events, seminars, receptions, dinners, and special occasions. Provide support for tradeshows, conferences, and sponsorships.
  • Manage events and seminars from inception to completion, handling planning, budgeting, logistics, tracking, creative elements, onsite support, and post-event reporting to ensure seamless execution.
  • Lead virtual and hybrid seminars, coordinating planning meetings, rehearsals, liaising with webcast providers, and offering technical and live webcast support.
  • Oversee the Client Holiday gifting campaign and oversee branded merchandise for the Toronto office through liaising with national and international vendors.
  • Source, negotiate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, restaurants, and venues.
  • Assist the Business Development team in managing event invitation lists.
  • Develop and manage event-critical paths, day-of-event schedules, and run sheets.
  • Monitor and track event budgets for assigned events.
  • Analyze data from national events to provide comprehensive year-end event metrics and analysis to Firm Management.
  • Mentor Events co-op students on daily tasks.
  • Assist the Manager, Client Programming & Events with the development and execution of Firm Retreats and National Partners’ Meetings.



  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or equivalent, or a college diploma with an events focus.
  • Three to five years of corporate event experience in a professional services environment is essential.
  • Outgoing and personable, capable of maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Flexibility with working hours due to events being held outside of normal hours and occasionally on weekends.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, events, and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong client-service orientation, aiming to exceed high expectations.
  • Excellent organizational and logistical skills to ensure event delivery.
  • Proactive, with the ability to prioritize tasks, take ownership, and be accountable.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, interacting confidently at all organizational levels.
  • Strong negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers/vendors.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and judgment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CMS.
