Striving for operational excellence and strong employee relationships we are looking for an HR Leader who is strong both operationally and strategically. Under the leadership of our Executive Director, we are committed to creating a collaborative, efficient, and people-focused workplace. 

The Role 
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Leader to head up our HR function during this exciting period of transformation. This hands-on leadership role will require a balance of strategic vision and operational execution. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Assess the current HR function, create a strategic roadmap, and implement improvements. 
  • Drive the implementation of our HRIS (Bamboo) to streamline workflows. 
  • Lead Labour relations, including negotiations and compliance with the union. 
  • Develop talent management strategies to improve recruitment, retention, and L&D initiatives. 
  • Oversee compensation strategies and health & safety programs. 
  • Provide leadership and direction to two HR Coordinators, fostering empowerment and growth. 
What We’re Looking For 
  • A seasoned HR Generalist who thrives in both strategy and execution. 
  • Expertise in labour relations, talent management, recruitment, and retention. 
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with a focus on documentation and process efficiency. 
  • Proven ability to lead negotiations, manage compliance, and handle complex HR scenarios. 
  • Exceptional leadership skills to guide and develop team members. 
  • Ability to see from 30,000 feet but not lose sight of the details. 
Note: Successful candidates will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check, criminal background check, and reference checks. 

What We Offer 
  • Competitive salary of $107,000 - $123,000. 
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including 5% RRSP matching. 
  • Vacation (3 weeks), 7 sick days, and 4 personal days. 
  • Laptop, cell phone, car allowance, and educational allowance. 
  • Work-life flexibility with one remote day per week.
