IQ PARTNERS Inc. is currently looking to hire a Human Resources Manager for our professional services client in Toronto for an exciting Full-time permanent job opportunity in which you will have experience managing recruitment and retention, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation and organizational development

This is an individual contributor role supporting an office of 50+ employees

Compensation: Creative competitive plan based on experience including a base salary in the $75k-$95k range.


  • General HR administration, including record maintenance of employee files; employee handbook, HR forms; benefits administration and other forms of HR documentation
  • Ensure firm’s HR practices & policies are compliant and current with any relevant employment legislation
  • Play an active role in the firm’s performance management and mentoring program
  • Conduct sessions for newly hired employees ensuring that policies, procedures and required training are clearly communicated
  • Manage full cycle recruitment and selection process; maintaining ATS, posting job ads, interviewing, completing references and preparing job offers
  • Develop and maintain a competitive compensation program, including researching the market and benchmarking best practices data which will allow the firm to continue to provide competitive compensation packages
  • Support the senior management team and Partners during annual compensation/review cycle
  • Organize monthly staff lunches and play a key role in maintaining and improving the current employee recognition program
  • Create and coordinate employee social activities
  • Organize the Health & Safety training and conduct inspections in conjunction with other Health & Safety representatives

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Human Resources management or senior level Generalist role, ideally in a professional services environment
  • Professional human resources designation (or working towards)
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills while managing complex work issues
  • Exceptional ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee issues with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to build rapport and strong working relationships at all levels within an organization
  • Knowledge of HR policies and provincial and/or statutory labour standards and related legislation
  • Customer-service orientation with exceptional coaching and influencing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Collaborative and creative approach to conflict resolution and problem solving
