We are on the hunt for an experienced professional to join our client as the Manager of Facilities & Business Services (12 Month Contract). This role requires a meticulous individual with a knack for overseeing day-to-day operations, streamlining processes, and ensuring our client's office runs like a well-oiled machine.
Key Responsibilities:Operational: Efficiently manage the facilities and business services departments, ensuring optimal staffing levels and equitable workload distribution.
Process Maestro: Develop and standardize processes across all operational and business service areas, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring team members are well-versed.
Budget Navigator: Collaborate on budget planning, monitor actuals against budgets, and propose cost reduction strategies to the Director of Facilities & Business Services.
Collaboration Is Key: Work hand-in-hand with peers and Office Service team members in our Toronto and Calgary offices, fostering the exchange of best practices.
Facilities Excellence: Ensure the premises are impeccably maintained, conduct regular inspections, and oversee internal office moves with precision.
Procurement: Manage competitive pricing from suppliers, establish national supply standards, and maintain efficient inventory management.
Vendor Relations Expert: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key vendors and contractors, negotiating terms and overseeing service level agreements.
People Leader: Provide direction, coaching, and development support to teams, actively participating in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
Safety Guardian: Ensure health and safety compliance, conduct monthly inspections, and manage the life safety program.
Key Qualifications: - Post-secondary education in Facilities Management or equivalent work experience.
- 5 to 10 years of related management experience in a professional services environment.
- Certification in Facilities Management is an asset.
- Leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Budget management experience with strong analytical skills.
- Solid project management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Certification in First Aid and Health and Safety.
Salary Range: $90,000-100,000 with modified benefits.
