Medical Assistant

A great Medical Practice specialized in Integrative Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is searching for a full-time permanent Medical Assistant to join their team.

In this role you will assist the physician in all areas of care, coordinate appointments, explaining care plans and act as the main point of contact for patients and the care / administrative team. You will greet patients, prepare exam rooms, update medical health histories, take vitals, patient education and more.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills, as you will be in regular contact with patients.
• Certified Medical Assistant
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Strong customer service skills
• Phlebotomy skills 
• Bio energetic testing experience (asset)
• EMR/EHR systems
• Labs - within the functional world preferred (asset)
• Rooming patients
