Our client, a leading retailer specializing in contemporary home furnishings with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, is looking for a Quality Control Manager.
Position Overview: Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring all products meet the company's high standards. This involves inspecting finished goods, collecting and analyzing quality data, managing claims, and preparing reports. This role plays a critical part in identifying quality issues, collaborating with internal teams to drive product improvements, and managing the Repair Department to ensure efficient and timely product repairs.
What will you do? - Inspect finished goods, identify quality issues, and report findings to the Buying team.
- Gather, analyze, and distribute quality control data to inform product improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and enhance product performance.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to product packaging.
- Oversee and approve quality tests conducted by external providers.
- Maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
- Identify and report product defects, and propose corrective actions.
- Coordinate quality control inspections at source factories.
- Manage claims with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely resolution.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding quality control activities.
- Provide product information and training to relevant teams.
- Support and initiate improvements to quality control processes.
- Manage and lead the Repair Department to ensure efficient repair processes and high-quality repairs.
Who are you? - 2-5 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the furniture or consumer goods industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of furniture construction and terminology is a plus.
- Collaborative team player.
- Takes initiative and is accountable for maintaining quality standards.
