Job Description

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new opportunities and selling profitable large enterprise high-value solution solutions across all sectors/ industries. 


Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities include creating, articulating, and selling the full suite of the company's solutions 
  • Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of the client's business, organization, culture, challenges, and compelling reasons to act and translate the company's services into a solution that drive revenues
  • Screens the market to identify potential large services/solution opportunities which support business objectives and drive new revenue streams 
  • Researches trends to identify new product or service opportunities for growth
  • Concludes the sale including contract negotiations with the client
  • Formulates a strategy that links into clients drivers in share of wallet within their sector and to drive efficiencies in their document processes
  • Generates innovative ideas, incorporates market data to challenge current thinking and achieve buy in from stakeholders in the development of new offerings
  • Supports Marketing with market knowledge to develop new offerings and/or improve existing ones
  • Demonstrates skilled use of financial and capital investment concepts in justifying solutions that create business value for the client 
  • Coordinates with internal departments to deliver profitable solutions within Bid Management Pursuit Process governance
  • Coaches and mentors Business Development Executives


Qualifications

  • Completed University Degree (Business preferred)
  • 8-12 years’ of advanced sales experience in business outsourcing services
  • Demonstrated track record of growing sales revenues through creative and strategic business development programs/initiatives to mid and senior level management


Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate and manage objections effectively
  • Strong relationship building, interpersonal, leadership, influencing and negotiating skills, and the ability to manage objections effectively
  • Resilient and able to deal with challenging situations in a positive manner
  • Experience in financial value proposition, business case and financial modeling skills 
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit with demonstrated ability to drive change and influence the adoption of new ideas and strategies
