IQ PARTNERS Inc. is currently searching on behalf of our prestigious law firm client located in the Financial District for a skilled and charismatic Senior Business Development Manager.

This role is integral to the continued growth and success of the firm and the business development team, and offers the opportunity to work alongside some brilliant and passionate humans.

Reporting to the Director, the successful candidate will support assigned portfolios to enhance the Firm’s revenue, profitability, and market presence. This role involves close collaboration with partners, associates, and the national Client Relations & Marketing team.

  • Manage practice and industry groups, working on business plans and targeting strategies.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform business planning and increase market awareness.
  • Understand Firm priorities and revenue sources to pursue strategic business development opportunities.
  • Develop pitch strategies and manage client pitch and proposal materials.
  • Lead strategic planning for directory and award submissions, optimizing outcomes.
  • Plan and execute events, defining objectives with key partners.
  • Develop and update marketing materials and practice area webpages.
  • Evaluate and leverage industry association memberships.
  • Manage the BD budget for assigned groups.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of BD/marketing experience, with proven leadership in various practice and industry groups.
  • Bilingual (English/French) capability is an asset but not required.
  • Strong customer service, business strategy, and market knowledge.
  • Excellent multitasking, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide guidance and influence team members and stakeholders.
  • Adaptable to various legal areas and portfolios.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient with technology and project management.
