Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Marketing will play a critical role in helping Bullfrog Power evolve, grow and scale their brand, message and awareness across Canada.

Leading a fully integrated marketing team, this role will own the Bullfrog Power brand message and its manifestation in all marketing materials and programs. As the successful candidate, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership team and hold responsibility for all marketing measures of success, including full cost P&L responsibility.

The role will be critical in helping Bullfrog Power continue innovating and expanding into new areas. You will be instrumental in contributing to the overall company’s strategy by gaining insight into Canadian consumers and businesses. This work includes identifying opportunities for expansion and new product concepts, as well as implementing marketing plans that help communicate Bullfrog’s brand message.

Requirements of Role:

  • Develop and implement innovative, smart and insightful brand and aspirational marketing strategies Lead brand positioning efforts & use resulting insights to design new products, services & experiences to increase Bullfrog Power’s brand awareness in targeted markets
  • Enhance and own the delivery of a consistent message across channels and geography
  • Lead and inspire internal team and attract great talent, while overseeing Bullfrog’s relationships with any contracted external agencies
  • From product development to public relations and pricing, support existing sales and business development teams
  • Create demand generation campaigns with messaging, content, & design across digital and offline marketing initiatives to create revenue-growing relationships with consumers
  • Leverage existing or manage new research and analytics efforts to provide a deep understanding of consumer needs, positioning and messaging evolution using a data-driven approach
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and counterparts in all departments to ensure that integrated plans deliver on both long-term and immediate-term business objectives
  • Drive the strategy, production, and distribution of compelling and relevant content
  • Control the master brand guidelines including all external properties
  • Establish a differentiated social media, content and influencer presence for consumer engagement across key consumer demographics
  • Own all aspects of communications including press announcements, earned media, public relations, awards, speaking engagements, and overall positioning


  • Understand the value proposition of Bullfrog Power
  • Demonstrate a passion for environmental issues, the ability to identify with customers, and a team player approach
  • Successful track record of building and growing a national brand
  • Proven history of converting brand strategy into marketing plans that drive sales through social, digital, advertising and content initiatives, events and partnerships
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B and B2C brand marketing
  • 7+ years of experience in leading a digital, content, design, and PR team
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Have strong organizational, communication, interpersonal skills; demonstrate initiative
  • A propensity for collaborative problem solving and building broad team alignment
  • Hold college or university level education
