IQ PARTNERS Inc. is currently looking to hire a Vice President, Operations for our Cannabis client in Napanee, Ontario for an exciting Full-time permanent job opportunity in which you will oversee all aspects of production, including cultivation, processing, packaging, facilities, quality and compliance.

 

Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + target bonus + additional perks

 

Reason for Opening:

The medicinal and now recreational cannabis business is growing fast. Our client is on the front line, with near completion of their expansion manufacturing plants to keep up with the increasing demands.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the CEO and acts as member of the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Oversee all aspects of production, including cultivation, processing, packaging, facilities, quality and compliance in Napanee.
  • Ensure availability of products to meet sales requirements
  • Support the launch of new products and the development of new strains, and support R and D projects to provide business benefit
  • Provide direction and oversight on facility construction and capital equipment purchases and commissioning
  • Develops, implements and communicates progress against key performance indicators
  • Leads initiatives to improve yields, reduce product cost and cycle times and enhance quality systems
  • Provide leadership to and establish new communication norms to improve communication and teamwork in Napanee and other locations
  • Co-Lead monthly Sales and Operations Planning meeting to reach alignment of supply and demand requirements
  • Ensures compliance with quality, health, safety and regulatory requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices

Desired Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing operation – cannabis, CGP, food, beverage, tobacco or pharmaceuticals
  • A university degree in Engineering is an asset
  • Performance driven, entrepreneurial approach to business
  • Proven executive leadership skills and success coaching, leading and influencing front line staff to foster a collaborative, fun and productive environment
  • Excellent Excel skills and high level of all Microsoft office programs.
  • Competent in learning new software (ample organics) in order to analyze data and make best operational decisions
  • Critical thinker
