As the President of Groupdesk, you will be on the front lines creating and enabling a massive expansion of growth for the company in a high-visibility, high-impact role.

Groupdesk has reached that pivotal stage in their journey where the opportunity for growth has been confirmed, and the need for a continuously improving and scalable product offering is critical to their next stage of success. The decisions made during this stage with regards to the company growth strategy, the ability to find and focus on efficiencies as well as how and where capital is deployed will be instrumental in allowing for success down the road. The Founder has recognized that for Groupdesk to reach its full potential it is critical that the company hires a market leading B2B SaaS software President who can design and execute a plan to scale.

Groupdesk has built a transformative and feature-rich technology platform based on their deep Travel domain knowledge. While Groupdesk has a well-developed product, significant momentum with key customers and solid fundamentals they need a passionate and hands-on President with SaaS expertise to significantly accelerate growth.

You’ve likely already distinguished yourself in selecting and shaping disruptive technology companies. Perhaps you founded your own company, led a division of a larger organization or have already worked in incubation or the venture community. Either way – you understand the complexities of commercializing and scaling SaaS businesses and you’re passionate about guiding and mentoring a team.

You are a glass half-full type of President ready to join a “scrappy start-up” culture.

Groupdesk is a B2B eCommerce and marketplace SaaS software company that’s revolutionizing how market leading companies sell group travel. Think of Groupdesk as the Shopify for Travel; Group Travel providers can seamlessly display, book and managed all of their group travel online. While the Travel Tech space has experienced significant leaps in innovation for the individual travel market, group travel continues to be largely completed offline. This means it’s admin heavy, inefficient, disconnected and there are huge sales opportunities being missed.

Groupdesk works to simplify a Group Travel business by bringing all of these working parts online. Their end to end, white label eCommerce solution enables all of the participants in Group Travel to make more money, in less time; from large enterprise travel suppliers such as Airlines, Hotels and Cruise providers to individual specialty Group Travel planners.

Since launching just over 12 months ago with North America’s largest Student Travel company I Love Travel, Groupdesk has enabled over 25 000 bookings, 250 000 payments across their 7 brands for a total of over 40 million dollars processed and that’s just one of their clients. The opportunity is huge with Group Travel representing over 20% of all travel spend globally, includes 1.35 billion travelers and accounts for $1.6 trillion in travel revenue annually.

Groupdesk was first imagined by it’s founder Alex Handa – a serial entrepreneur who started his first group travel buisiness in his early 20s. Having spent over 20 years in the industry scaling multiple Group Travel businesses, he knew “there had to be a better way”. He took what they knew how to do on paper, and designed an application to automate and streamline the process.

Robustly developed and already deployed in market, Groupdesk is preparing for their next stage of rapid growth. They are looking for a President who’s driven high growth and scale in a B2B SaaS software company and is passionate about delivering meaningful and significant impact.
