Senior Cloud Architect

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect for our client, to play a dual role as both a technical delivery lead and a solutions pre-sales architect. This is a high-impact, client-facing role responsible for owning architecture design and technical leadership across complex Azure and hybrid cloud engagements.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across Azure infrastructure, networking, FortiGate, hybrid cloud, data, security, and storage, and will act as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients. You will also support business development efforts through architecture input, client presentations, and proposal contributions.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Delivery Leadership

• Serve as lead architect for Azure infrastructure implementations, including landing zones, identity, networking, storage, security, and hybrid connectivity.
• Drive deployment of enterprise-ready environments using Terraform, Bicep, and GitOps pipelines.
• Lead technical solutioning for FortiGate integration in Azure and hybrid topologies.
• Design architectures that incorporate zero trust principles, governance policies, and cloud-native security.
• Oversee infrastructure modernization projects, including migrations from VMware or other private cloud platforms.
• Provide technical oversight to delivery teams and guide implementation best practices.

Pre-Sales & Solution Design

• Act as the technical lead on pre-sales efforts, including RFP responses, client workshops, architecture planning, and solution presentations.
• Translate client requirements into detailed solution designs and delivery strategies.
• Partner with the VP of Operations, delivery leads, and account teams to scope engagements and shape SOWs.
• Develop reference architectures, templates, and client-facing collateral.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT infrastructure and cloud architecture experience, with 5+ years focused on Azure.
• Expertise in designing and implementing:
• Azure Landing Zones, hub-and-spoke networks, and secure hybrid connectivity
• Azure AD, RBAC, Conditional Access, and identity governance
• FortiGate Next-Gen Firewall in Azure (including HA, SD-WAN, custom routing)
• Storage strategies (Blob, Files, lifecycle policies), backup, and disaster recovery
• Private cloud integration (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack, etc.)
• Strong understanding of cloud-native and hybrid security architectures (Zero Trust, NIST, CIS, CAF).
• Proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Git, and CI/CD automation pipelines.
• Demonstrated success in client-facing roles including pre-sales, solutioning, or technical consulting.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Certifications (Required)

The following certifications are a must to qualify for this role:

• AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect)
• AZ-700 (Networking)
• AZ-500 (Security)
• Fortinet NSE certifications are a strong asset.
