Our client in mid-town Toronto is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to add to their team:
- Plan various engagements and prepare/lead complex audits, NTRs, financial statements and T1, T2, T3 tax returns
- Prepare personal and corporate tax planning
- Prepare and/or review financial statements in terms of accuracy, completeness and presentation
- Perform ad hoc requests (i.e. CRA correspondence, due diligence, financial planning)
- Review own and junior's work for quality, accuracy and relevance
- Coach and motivate others to superior performance; develop the capabilities of less experienced staff through knowledge transfer, training and coaching
- Conduct research on technical matters and recommend the appropriate solutions
- Seek opportunities to add value to client account (i.e. tax planning) and manage client expectations
- Expected compensation range: $70,000 to $95,000 per year, based on experience
- This is a new position with the firm
- 3+ years of similar experience in Public Accounting
- University degree in relevant fields
- CPA, CA designation, or very close to designation
