Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Barrie, Ontario
Salary Range: $180,000 – $230,000
OPPA Credit Union is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. This role is a
replacement hire due to the upcoming retirement of the current CFO.
Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will lead financial strategy, planning, and reporting while ensuring strong financial governance across the organization. The role oversees budgeting, financial statements, and audits, and provides strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making and long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities - Lead financial strategy, planning, and the annual budgeting process
- Oversee financial reporting, statements, and audit coordination
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the CEO, leadership team, and Board
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives
- Contribute to asset and liability management and monitor market conditions
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth and operational improvements
Qualifications - CPA designation preferred with a degree in business, finance, or related field
- 5–7+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Strong financial analysis, modeling, and strategic planning skills
- Experience in financial services, banking, or credit unions is an asset
