The IT Director will oversee global IT operations, strategy, and team leadership across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. The role has full responsibility for IT systems, infrastructure, data, cybersecurity, and vendor management, with oversight of a ~$1M SaaS budget and two senior direct reports.

Overview
The IT Director will oversee global IT operations, strategy, and team leadership across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. The role has full responsibility for IT systems, infrastructure, data, cybersecurity, and vendor management, with oversight of a ~$1M SaaS budget and two senior direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business applications including fundraising platforms, HRMS, M&E, finance systems, and cloud-based infrastructure
- Manage and develop the IT team, including hiring, performance management, and coaching
- Oversee IT operations, governance, risk, compliance, cybersecurity, and data privacy globally
- Lead implementation and management of Microsoft Fabric, including data architecture, governance, and analytics
- Oversee Power BI dashboards and AI tools to support data-driven decision-making
- Develop and execute global IT strategy aligned with organizational priorities
- Drive digital transformation initiatives and continuous improvement across systems, data, and infrastructure
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s and certifications are assets
- 5+ years of IT leadership experience across applications, data, and/or cybersecurity
- 3+ years working with SQL, Fabric, Power BI, and AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini)
- Experience in global, cross-cultural environments; charitable sector experience is an asset
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Global scope with significant autonomy over IT strategy, operations, and resource allocation
- Regular collaboration with internal leadership and external vendors/partners
- Minimal travel (approximately once per year)
