Engineering Manager Location: Toronto (hybrid)
This is a
newly created role as the company builds out its
Toronto-based tech hub, supporting continued growth across North America.
Overview The Engineering Manager will play a key role in developing the AMER engineering hub, working across distributed teams in North America and Europe. The role is both
people leadership and hands-on, with up to 50% of time spent on software engineering.
Key Responsibilities - Develop product features alongside engineers across distributed teams
- Manage, coach, and support engineers across North America and Europe
- Drive collaboration and alignment across global teams
- Contribute to engineering design, architecture, and high-quality code delivery
- Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development
- Lead cross-team initiatives to improve engineering practices, processes, and culture
- Help build and scale the local Toronto engineering presence
Qualifications - 7–8+ years of software engineering experience on production systems
- 2–3+ years of people management experience
- Strong experience with object-oriented programming (e.g., Java, Python, C#, Go, etc.)
- Experience working in distributed or remote teams
- Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills
- Fluent in English

Compensation Base salary
$180,000 – $250,000
