HR BUSINESS PARTNER OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW:

Our client is on the lookout for enthusiastic talent to join them as a Human Resources Business Partner. The perfect candidate has 8-10 years of experience in Human Resources, progressively taking on more responsibility, and has managed areas like workforce planning, talent development, change management, grievance management, performance management, and more. Experience in a unionized environment is a big plus!

In this role, reporting to the Senior Manager of HR and Labour Relations, you'll provide ongoing consultation and support to our Business Leaders, helping them drive business strategy and achieve results through key strategic initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

As an HR Business Partner, you'll be embedded within the business, acting as a strategic advisor and relationship lead to their clients, leaders, and managers. You'll proactively drive, support, and execute HR initiatives while helping the business meet its strategic goals. Your primary focus will be ensuring the company attracts and retains top talent and achieves high performance. You'll be the go-to person for all people-related matters, working closely with leaders to boost engagement, retention, and performance.

Main responsibilities include:

Employee & Labour Relations: Provide advice and support for complex employee relations issues, assist managers with discipline and grievances, handle Human Rights complaints, contribute to the bargaining agenda, and participate in the bargaining team.
Talent Management: Develop and gather input for the company's talent management strategy. Support line managers in building leadership development (succession planning) and implementing performance management programs for continuous improvement.
Change Management: Lead the planning and execution of culture initiatives at the client group level. Advise on organization, team, and job design, and coordinate implementation through business changes.
Workforce Planning: Analyze workforce planning metrics and help line managers develop effective plans based on business planning analytics.
Total Rewards: Support the implementation of compensation plans, practices, and policies. Assist with the performance calibration process and advise on compensation packages and entitlements.
Learning & Development: Collaborate with leaders to identify learning needs and performance gaps, and develop action plans.
Recruitment: Work with the business to create proactive strategies to address staffing needs and ensure a diverse workforce that aligns with their business strategy and culture.
