Our client, Trez Capital, is seeking a motivated and experienced Regional Vice President / External Wholesaler to lead sales coverage for the Alberta and Saskatchewan region. Based in Calgary, this individual will be responsible for building and managing relationships with IIROC advisors and dealer firms, driving sales of Trez Capital’s real estate investment solutions, and delivering education and insight around alternative investment strategies. The ideal candidate will bring deep regional knowledge, a proven track record of success within IIROC distribution, and a passion for real estate and private credit markets.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to meet or exceed capital raising targets across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
- Establish, grow, and manage strong relationships with IIROC-licensed investment advisors, portfolio managers, and dealer firms.
- Present and position Trez Capital’s investment offerings clearly and compliantly, with a focus on performance, product structure, and market opportunity.
- Organize and conduct advisor meetings, branch presentations, webinars, and educational events to support awareness and understanding of alternative investments.
- Act as a trusted resource to the advisory community by providing timely insights on real estate markets, economic trends, and portfolio positioning.
- Collaborate with internal teams including National Sales, Product Management, and Marketing to support initiatives and enhance advisor engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of advisor interactions, pipeline activity, and territory insights using CRM tools.
- Represent Trez Capital at industry conferences, client events, and regional networking opportunities.
Qualifications: - 5–10 years of experience in investment sales or external wholesaling, preferably with a focus on alternative investments, private credit, or real estate strategies.
- Established network and strong relationships within the Alberta and/or Saskatchewan IIROC advisor community.
- In-depth understanding of IIROC regulations, advisor business models, and investment product distribution.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex strategies.
- Highly self-motivated and organized with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM platforms; skilled with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education & Licensing: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) required; registration with IIROC mandatory.
- Additional credentials such as CFA, CAIA, or CIM are considered strong assets.
