The good news is closing a job interview strong is not that difficult. You just need to know how to do it the right way.

Toronto Sales Recruiters share how to close a job interview

Here is how to end your next sales job interview on a positive note:

HIRE BETTER TODAY

Restate Your Interest in the Job

As the interview comes to a close, it’s important to restate your excitement and interest in the job. You can do this by summarizing why you are a great candidate for recruitment and what excites you about working for the company. Make it specific as to why you want the job.

Ask Questions

Restating your interest is important, but as they say, actions speak louder than words. So, take action and ask questions about the role and the company. Be as specific as possible. This will show you have an interest in the job. It will also show you did your homework and are a serious candidate.

Ask for the Job

This is bold, but if you truly think you are a great fit for the job, meet all the requirements, and have a great rapport with the hiring manager, asking for the job can show how serious you are about the position.

Ask About Next Steps

Always ask about the next steps in the process. This will give you a good indication if there will be another interview, or when you can expect to hear back. It will also shed some light on the company’s level of interest in you. If they are very specific, it’s likely they have an interest in hiring you.

Be Gracious

Always thank the interviewer for the opportunity to speak with them about the role. This is a small thing that can have a huge impact on your ability to get a job. People want to work with others who are positive and thankful. Show your thanks as you exit the interview. Also, make sure to follow up with a thank-you email.

Use these steps to close your next job interview and prove why you are a top candidate.
