We could all use a break from our computers, phones, and social media. Allocate specific times to disconnect from digital devices, especially during the holidays. Turn off notifications, resist the urge to check emails constantly, and spend quality time away from screens to foster a sense of relaxation.

Connect With Nature

Spend time outdoors and connect with nature. Whether it’s a brisk walk in the park, a hike, or even getting outside to shovel the driveways, being outside has proven benefits for reducing stress and promoting mental well-being.

Actually Get Some Sleep

While enjoying the holiday festivities can lead to some late nights, ensure you plan a few nights to get to bed at a reasonable time. Ensure you get enough restful sleep each night. Establish a consistent sleep routine, create a comfortable sleep environment, and consider relaxation techniques before bedtime to improve the quality of your sleep.

Schedule Downtime – Don’t Fill Up Your Calendar

Leave a few days blank in your schedule. Plan downtime for activities you enjoy. Whether it’s reading a book, taking a warm bath, or enjoying a hobby, intentionally plan moments of relaxation to recharge and unwind during the holiday season.
