It’s extremely important that you take steps to protect your personal brand. Here are a number of important tips to ensure you put forward a strong personal brand:
Always be adding new skills: Whether you are in a new job, have been in the same position for years, or are even between jobs, it’s important to always be adding new skills to strengthen your personal brand. The more you have to offer, the better.

Give your 2 cents: Establishing yourself as an expert or thought leader allows you to not only get your voice out there but also expand awareness for your personal brand. Blogging, podcasting, and contributing to industry publications are great ways to build your brand over time.
